1. What Parkos is
Parkos is a marketplace that connects people who want to buy electronics with nearby shops that sell them. Operated by Parkos, a sole proprietorship registered in India (Udyam UDYAM-RJ-33-0144418).
We are an intermediary. We are not the seller. The sale is between you and the shop, and the shop is responsible for the item, its condition, its warranty and its invoice.
2. Who may use it
You must be 18 or over and able to enter a contract under Indian law. Shops must be legitimately registered businesses with a valid GSTIN and PAN, which we verify before they may bid.
One business gets one shop account. Registering a second account to escape a rating or a suspension is a breach of these terms.
3. How buying works
- You post what you want. It is visible to verified shops within 10 km for 7 days, after which it expires.
- You may hold up to 3 open requests at a time.
- Shops send quotes. A quote is an offer by that shop, not by Parkos, and we do not set, influence or approve prices.
- Accepting a quote reserves the item for 48 hours. It costs nothing and it expires on its own if you do not collect.
- You collect from the shop and pay the shop directly. Parkos does not take payment for items.
- You confirm the handover with a pickup code shown in your app. Do not share it before you have the item in your hands — it is what proves the handover happened.
4. Bank and card offers on quotes
A shop may attach a bank or card promotion to its quote — for example a discount for paying with a particular credit card.
These discounts are funded and applied by the bank at the shop’s own card machine, not by Parkos. We cannot verify that you hold the card, we do not see the transaction, and we do not guarantee the discount will apply. Whether it does is between you, your bank and the shop. Check the conditions before you rely on one.
Offers never change the ranking of a quote. A bid is ordered by the price the shop quoted, with no discount taken into account.
5. How selling works
- A shop must hold an active bidding pass to place bids. Passes cost ₹200 for 30 days and do not auto-renew.
- KYC must be verified. Bidding is blocked until it is.
- A quote is binding for the reservation window. Refusing to honour a quote you made is the fastest way to be removed from the platform.
- The shop issues the invoice, handles warranty and after-sales, and is responsible for the item being what it was described as.
- Entering a customer’s pickup code wrongly 3 times locks the order and alerts us, so that a disputed handover can be looked at by a person.
6. What you must not do
- Post requests you have no intention of fulfilling, or bid without intending to sell
- Misrepresent an item, its condition, its warranty, or whether it is genuine
- Take a transaction off the platform to avoid the pass or a rating
- Manipulate ratings or reviews, whether your own or a competitor’s
- Attempt to access another account, or to interfere with the service
- Use Parkos for anything unlawful, including selling stolen or counterfeit goods
7. Ratings and reviews
Only a customer who completed a handover may rate that shop. We remove reviews that are abusive, contain personal information, or are demonstrably fabricated. We do not remove reviews for being unflattering.
8. Suspension
We may suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms. Where a shop is removed for a breach, any remaining days on its pass are forfeited — see Refunds & Cancellation.
9. What we are responsible for, and what we are not
We are responsible for operating the platform with reasonable care: verifying shops before they bid, showing quotes accurately, and keeping a record of what was agreed.
We are not responsible for:
- The quality, condition, authenticity or warranty of any item sold by a shop
- A shop’s pricing, its conduct, or its refusal to honour a quote
- Whether a bank applies a card offer advertised on a quote
- Losses arising from a transaction we were never a financial party to
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid Parkos in the preceding twelve months — which, for a buyer, is nil, because buyers pay us nothing.
10. Disputes
Tell us first. Most disputes are resolved by putting the record of what was quoted and what was handed over in front of both sides.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Udaipur shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect, and the date at the top reflects the current version.
