Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Parkos is operated by Parkos, a sole proprietorship registered in India (Udyam UDYAM-RJ-33-0144418). Our address and contact details are on the contact page.

2. What we deliberately do not store

The shortest way to protect information is not to hold it. We do not store:

• Aadhaar numbers. Where a shop is verified against Aadhaar, we record the verification status only. The number itself is never written to our database, and neither is any offline XML or e-KYC payload.
• Card numbers, CVVs or UPI credentials. We never collect them, because we never take payment for items — you pay the shop directly.
• Bank documents. We do not ask shops to upload cancelled cheques or bank statements.
• Your pickup code. It is stored as a one-way cryptographic hash. We can check a code you present, but we cannot read it back or tell anyone what it is.

3. What we collect

If you buy

• Your phone number and email, to sign you in and to reach you about an order
• Your name, if you give it
• The delivery-area location you choose, so we can show requests to nearby shops
• What you have requested, the quotes you received and the orders you placed
• Ratings and reviews you write

If you sell

• Shop name, registered legal name and the owner’s name
• GSTIN and PAN, for verification against the issuing authority
• Shop address and the map location you place
• Bank details for settlements, held in tokenised form by our payment provider
• Your bids, orders and performance history

Automatically

• Device identifier, app version and platform, to keep sessions secure
• IP address, used for rate limiting and fraud prevention
• Basic diagnostic logs

4. Why we hold it

• To run the service — matching requests to nearby shops, showing you quotes, and making a handover possible
• To verify shops — checking GSTIN and PAN against the issuing authority, so the shop quoting you is a real registered business
• To prevent fraud — rate limits on sign-in codes, and locking an order after 3 wrong pickup codes
• To meet legal obligations — tax records and lawful requests from authorities

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not build advertising profiles.

5. Who else sees it

• The shop you choose sees your name, your contact number and what you ordered — only after you accept their quote, and only for that order. Shops bidding on your request do not see who you are.
• You see the shop’s exact address only after you have chosen them.
• Service providers who operate parts of the platform: our hosting and database provider, our payment gateway, and the services that deliver sign-in codes over WhatsApp and email. They act on our instructions.
• Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose.

6. How long we keep it

• Requests that were never fulfilled expire after 7 days and the broadcast records are purged automatically.
• Sign-in code records are purged on a rolling weekly basis.
• Order records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, so that a warranty claim months later can still be traced to a handover.
• Your account is kept until you ask us to delete it.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your account and personal data, subject to records we must keep by law
• Stop sending you notifications — from your device settings, or by asking us

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in tokens are held in the device’s encrypted keystore, never in ordinary app storage. Access to the database is restricted and every administrative action is logged with the person who took it.

No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise. If a breach affects you, we will tell you.

9. Children

Parkos is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
