1. There is no delivery
Parkos is a local marketplace, not a courier. Nothing is shipped, and there are no delivery charges, delivery windows or tracking numbers, because nothing is ever in transit.
You collect in person from the shop whose quote you accepted. That is the whole fulfilment model, and it is why the price you see is the price you pay.
2. The reservation window
When you accept a quote, the shop holds that item for you for 48 hours. Reserving costs nothing.
If you do not collect within that window, the reservation expires by itself. Nothing is charged, and you are free to post the request again. Shops are free to sell the item to somebody else once it lapses.
3. Finding the shop
You see the shop’s exact address and directions after you accept a quote. Before that you see the area and the distance, but not the street address — shops bidding for your business should not have to publish their doorstep to do it.
4. Collecting
- Go to the shop within the 48-hour window
- Check the item: the model, the storage, the colour, the seal, the IMEI on the box
- Pay the shop directly — cash, card, UPI, whatever they accept. Parkos does not take payment for items.
- Only once you have the item, read out the 4-digit pickup code from your app
About the pickup code
The code is the record that the handover happened. It appears in your app and nowhere else — we store only a one-way hash of it, so not even we can read it back.
Do not share it before you have the item in your hands. Giving it out early is giving up your proof.
If a shop enters it wrongly 3 times, the order locks automatically, any settlement is held, and we are alerted so that a person can look at it.
5. Checking before you pay
The advantage of buying locally is that you can inspect the thing before any money changes hands. Use it. Once you have paid and confirmed the handover, the transaction is complete and anything afterwards is handled under the shop’s own return and warranty policy.
If what you are shown is not what was quoted — a different model, different storage, an open box you were not told about — do not pay and do not share your code. Walk away and tell us. A quote that is not honoured as described is a serious breach of our Terms.
6. Warranty and after-sales
The shop is the seller. Warranty, service, exchange and returns are handled by that shop under its own policy and the manufacturer’s, and your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 apply to that sale.
Keep the invoice the shop gives you — it is your warranty document. Your order in the Parkos app records the IMEI or serial number of what was handed over, which helps months later when a warranty claim needs the number and the box has gone missing.
7. If something goes wrong
- The shop will not honour its quote — do not pay. Tell us; we hold the record of what was quoted.
- The shop is closed when you arrive — tell us, and we will take it up with them. Your reservation is not lost because they were shut.
- The item is not as described — refuse it, keep your code, and report it.
- A dispute after the handover — raise it with the shop first, then with us if it is not resolved.
Write to contact.parkos@gmail.com. We acknowledge within 24 hours.
What we can do: put the record in front of both parties, and suspend a shop that behaves this way. What we cannot do is refund money that was paid directly to a shop — see Refunds & Cancellation.
